The main aim of the course is to introduce students to the use of mathematical programming models, and in particular linear optimisation models (both continuous and integer), and to their applications in the fields of logistics, services and industrial production.

Contents

Introduction to Optimisation and Operational Research, Integer Linear Programming (ILP), Optimisation on Graphs and Networks, Non-Linear Optimisation, Optimisation over a Convex Set, Theory of Lagrange Multipliers.
