Coordinator

Lecture rooms

  • rooms C, D, E (F. Cafiero), F (G. Tallini), G (L.M. Ricciardi), with 40 seats each (Department of Mathematics and Applications Renato Caccioppoli)
  • two meeting rooms, also used for seminars and graduation sessions.
  • activities may also take place in the shared lecture buildings of the Monte Sant’Angelo complex.

Laboratories
and computer rooms

  • Students of the Mathematics Degree Programmes mainly use the Computing Laboratory of the Department of Mathematics and Applications, equipped with 30 workstations running the Linux OS. http://www.dma.unina.it/labdma/login_cons.php
  • For Physics courses, students can use the teaching laboratories at the Department of Physics
  • Other laboratories available to students are located in the facilities of the Centre for Information Services – (CSI ) at the shared centres of the Monte S.Angelo campus.

Study
rooms

  • Students of the Mathematics Degree Programmes mainly use the reading room of the Carlo Miranda library of the Department of Mathematics and Applications and the adjacent study rooms, with a total of 90 seats
  • Further study rooms are located on the first level of the main lecture building of the Monte S.Angelo Campus (over 100 seats) and at the Science Teaching Area Library in the shared centres of the Monte S.Angelo Campus (180 seats)

Libraries

  • Students of the Mathematics Degree Programmes mainly use the Carlo Miranda library of the Department of Mathematics and Applications, which holds over 25,000 specialist volumes
  • A further library, the Science Teaching Area Library, of a general scientific nature, with over 50,000 volumes and 180 reading seats, is located at the shared centres of the Monte S.Angelo Campus
  • The University Library Centre – CAB (http://www.sba.unina.it/) coordinates the library system and provides access to numerous online resources

Guidance

The University provides the Guidance, Training and Distance Learning portal (www.orientamento.unina.it) with guidance services for prospective students.

Tutoring

Ongoing tutoring is provided by the tutors, or by appointment in office 138, 6th level, Department of Mathematics and Applications “R. Caccioppoli”

  • The Federico II Placement Office, through the ALMALAUREA Inter-University Consortium, aims to bring together the University’s graduates, whom it supports in circulating their CVs and making career choices, and companies, which thus benefit from a direct channel of contact for recruitment and training activities. initiatives

Other University services available to all students

  • SInAPSi University Centre Provides services and supports initiatives to encourage the active participation of all students in university life (for example students with disabilities or specific learning disorders )
  • University Language Centre is the facility that organises teaching, research and service activities relating to languages (for example for ERASMUS students)
  • CSI – University Centre for Information Services is the facility providing IT services and infrastructure in support of teaching activities (for example e-mail accounts)
  • Federica Web Learning is the University’s e-learning service, with numerous online courses and a wealth of teaching materials
  • SEGREPASS is the online student administration service (for example to check academic records or book exams)

 

 

Double Master’s Degree Programme
in Mathematical Analysis and Modelling

The International Double Master’s Degree Programme (DDMP) “MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS AND MODELLING” is agreed with foreign universities and awards both the Master’s Degree in Mathematics of the University of Naples “Federico II” and a foreign degree.

The foreign universities involved in the agreement are the University of Augsburg (Germany), the University of Rouen (France), the University of Seville (Spain) and the University of Tomsk (Russia).
